We curate distinctive homes in Dahab — beachfront, sea-view, rooftop and garden residences — designed for guests who value privacy, comfort, and thoughtful detail.

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and the reservation of any property offered through Dahab Stays. They are written to reflect transparency, fairness, and internationally recognised consumer protection standards, including those commonly applied within the European Union and the United Kingdom.

By confirming a reservation through our website, you agree to these Terms.

2. Our Role

Dahab Stays operates and manages the properties presented on this website.

Once a booking is confirmed, a legally binding accommodation agreement is formed between you (the Guest) and the operating company.

Each property listing provides descriptions and photographs intended to accurately represent the accommodation at the time of publication.

3. Reservations & Contract Formation

A reservation becomes binding when:

1. You select your dates and submit a booking through the website.

2. Payment is successfully authorised and received.

3. A booking confirmation is issued.

Until confirmation is provided, availability and pricing remain subject to change.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel a reservation prior to confirmation in the event of availability errors, pricing inaccuracies, or suspected fraudulent activity.

4. Pricing & Transparency

All accommodation prices are clearly displayed before payment.

The total price presented at checkout includes all mandatory charges applicable to the reservation. No additional mandatory fees will be added after confirmation unless:

• Additional services are requested by the guest; or

• Damage or breach of the booking terms occurs during the stay.

Currency is displayed during checkout. Currency conversion or bank fees charged by financial institutions are outside our control.

5. Cancellation & Consumer Rights

Accommodation bookings for specific dates are generally exempt from the 14-day withdrawal right under EU and UK consumer protection regulations.

Once a reservation is confirmed, the applicable cancellation policy shown during the booking process applies.

The cancellation policy for each property clearly specifies:

• Refund eligibility

• Applicable deadlines

• Non-refundable conditions where applicable

If Dahab Stays must cancel a confirmed reservation for reasons within our control, guests will be offered either:

• A full refund; or

• Alternative comparable accommodation subject to availability.

Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights where they apply.

6. Guest Conduct & Use of Property

Guests are expected to treat each property with care and respect.

Guests agree to:

• Respect the maximum occupancy stated in the listing

• Avoid unauthorised parties or events

• Comply with Egyptian laws and local community standards

• Maintain respectful behaviour toward neighbours

Serious violations of these conditions may result in termination of the stay without refund where proportionate and justified.

7. Damage & Security

Guests are responsible for damage caused to the property or its contents beyond normal wear and tear.

Where applicable:

• A security deposit may be required.

• Documented damage may result in deductions from the deposit or additional charges.

• Evidence may be provided when damage claims are made.

8. Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through authorised third-party payment providers including Paymob and PayPal.

By submitting payment information, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided and that all billing information is accurate.

Secure Transactions

Dahab Stays does not store full credit or debit card details on its servers. All payment transactions are encrypted and processed through PCI-DSS compliant systems operated by our payment partners.

Paymob

Card payments may be processed via Paymob, a licensed payment service provider operating in Egypt and supporting international card networks.

Transactions processed through Paymob are subject to Paymob’s security standards and payment processing procedures.

PayPal

Where PayPal is available as a payment option, transactions are processed through PayPal’s secure payment platform. By selecting PayPal during checkout, you agree to PayPal’s terms and privacy policies.

PayPal may apply authentication procedures or currency conversion depending on the user’s account settings.

Fraud Prevention

To maintain secure transactions, we reserve the right to cancel reservations where fraudulent payment activity is reasonably suspected.

Refund Processing

Where refunds are applicable under the booking’s cancellation policy, refunds will be issued to the original payment method used during booking.

Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider and issuing bank.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

Dahab Stays processes personal data responsibly and in accordance with internationally recognised data protection standards.

Personal data may be collected to:

• Process and manage reservations

• Communicate booking and stay information

• Comply with legal or regulatory obligations

• Maintain the security of our systems

For guests located in the European Union or the United Kingdom:

• Personal data is processed on the basis of contractual necessity, legal obligation, or legitimate interest.

• Guests have the right to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of their personal data.

• Guests may object to processing where legally applicable.

• Guests have the right to lodge a complaint with a relevant supervisory authority.

Personal data may be processed outside the EU or UK, including in Egypt, for the purpose of fulfilling reservations. Appropriate safeguards are applied where required.

10. Force Majeure

Dahab Stays is not liable for failure to perform obligations where such failure results from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• Government travel restrictions

• Natural disasters

• Severe weather

• Infrastructure or utility disruptions

• Political instability

Where possible, reasonable alternatives or rebooking options may be offered.

11. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

Subject to this:

• Dahab Stays is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses.

• Guests remain responsible for their personal belongings during their stay.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

12. Complaints

If an issue arises during your stay, guests are asked to notify us as soon as possible so that we may attempt to resolve the matter promptly.

Issues reported after departure may limit our ability to investigate or remedy the situation.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Where guests are consumers residing in the European Union or United Kingdom, mandatory consumer protections under local law remain applicable.

14. Amendments

These Terms may be updated periodically. The version published on the website at the time of booking applies to the reservation.
